Developing more sustainable packaging tapes makes sense

We asked Michel Mies, Director Product Development at tesa, to share his insights on adhesive packaging products with more sustainable content. 

 

On the road to success

Mobility never stands still; good ideas and innovative top performance speed up progress. The global automotive industry is in the midst of the greatest transformation in history – and tesa is right in the middle of it. Today, a car may contain more than 130 adhesive applications. In 2021, adhesive pads are applied by robots to an electric car, while 90 years ago, the suspension strut of a pre-war vehicle was covered with a simple wrap.

Representatives from the Print & Web Processing Team of tesa tape, inc., an affiliate of tesa SE, a global leader in the manufacture and supply of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes, are pleased to announce an addition to its line of plate mounting tapes designed specifically for narrow web flexographic printing applications. The new product innovation – tesa Softprint® 52018 Plus Plate Mounting Tape - is an enhanced version of the original product announced just one year ago.

tesa SE Appoints Tobias Banik as Plant Manager of tesa Plant Sparta, LLC

SPARTA, Mich. – February 20, 2018 – tesa SE announces the appointment of Tobias Banik as the plant manager of tesa Plant Sparta, LLC based in Michigan. This appointment is effective March 1, 2018. In his new role, Banik will manage the plant’s operations and oversee 75 employees. Previously, Banik served as the head of production at tesa Plant Hamburg in Germany. Banik will report to Brad Boelkins, director of operations for tesa tape in North America.
